Virginia Buechel, Founder of Built To Optimize

A note from Virginia

If you just learned your Local Services Ads are moving into Google Ads, you are not alone in feeling a little thrown. It is a new dashboard many owners have never opened, and it is normal to worry about your leads slowing down or a billing or verification issue slipping through. We understand what this change means for your business, and I would be glad to handle the move with you. It is a one-time project, paid upfront, with no contract and no ongoing commitment.

What's changing

Your LSA account is moving into Google Ads

A new place to manage it

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals. After your account moves, the old LSA dashboard redirects to Google Ads.

Rolling out in phases

Google started with select U.S. home and storefront service businesses in August 2026. More U.S. businesses, including service-area businesses, follow in late 2026, and remaining accounts in 2027.

What stays the same

Google says you still pay per lead, and your ads still show in the same local spots on Google Search and Google Maps.

Save your reports

Google notes that past LSA performance reports will not be available after the move, so it is worth saving them first. Google emails account admins 14 days before the migration date.

What's included

FAQ

Common questions

Is the call free?

No. Booking the call is your payment for the full migration service. The $465 covers the kickoff call, the migration work, and the handoff.

Do I have to do anything about the change?

Google says it will migrate existing LSA campaigns automatically. This service is for owners who want someone to handle the account side, add locations, and confirm billing and verification are in order.

When will my account move?

Google is moving accounts in phases from August 2026 through 2027 and emails account admins 14 days before their migration date.

Will I still pay per lead?

Google says the pay-per-lead model stays the same after the move.

Is this a monthly contract?

No. It is a one-time project. If you want ongoing management later, we can talk about it then.

Do I need a Google Ads account already?

No. We will cover what is needed during your kickoff call.
