Surface cleaner pressure washing a paver driveway in Florida

Case study · Pressure washing

A pressure washing company that went from nine leads in five months to 43 in six weeks.

Search ads alone had spent over $4,000 for nine tracked leads. We launched Local Service Ads, rebuilt search around the jobs worth the most, and fixed tracking so the owner can see every lead.

The situation

Paying for search clicks, getting very few calls.

From February through June the account ran search ads only. It spent $4,085 and recorded nine tracked leads. For a trade with a limited warm weather season, that is not a marketing program. It is a donation.

Pressure washing buyers also behave differently by job. Paver sealing and roof washing are worth far more than a driveway, but a flat bid treats them the same, so the budget drifts to the cheap clicks.

What we changed

Start with the channel that rings the phone fastest.

1

Launched Local Service Ads first

It is the fastest way to get a pressure washing company's phone ringing, and you pay per lead, not per click. It produced leads in its first week.

2

Bid by job value

Search was rebuilt with manual bids tiered by service, so paver sealing and roof washing get the most aggressive bids and driveways get the least.

3

Cleaned out bad traffic

A long negative keyword list keeps out DIY, product and equipment searches that look like demand and never book.

4

Fixed tracking and planned the off season

Website calls and forms now report back into Google Ads, and holiday lighting went live in September so the slow months already have a revenue line.

Why this matters if your trade is seasonal

If your season is short, every week you spend testing the wrong channel costs you jobs you cannot get back. Start with the channel that produces calls fastest, then build around it.

And bid by what a job is worth to you, not by what a click costs. A roof wash and a driveway should never get the same bid.
